Erasmus Traineeship

_______________

Andrea has found that her university has opened a call for students who are interested in doing an Erasmus+ Mobility for traineeships. She is interested, but doesn’t know what it is. And how to apply?

_______________

Don’t worry, Andrea! Let’s have a look at it together!

The Erasmus+ Mobility for traineeships is the EU-promoted student mobility programme which gives students currently enrolled in higher education institutions in Programme Countries a chance to broaden their vocational and training curriculum by working abroad in any public sector company or a private commercial enterprise located in European countries that have joined the Erasmus+ Programme.

It’s open to any student enrolled in a higher education institution holding an Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education.

The traineeship must be relevant to the degree-related learning and personal development needs and, wherever possible, be integrated into the study programme.

A traineeship can take place at any organisation located anywhere in the world (with the exception of EU institutions, bodies and agencies).

The duration of the Traineeship is between 2 to 12 months. And each participant of the Erasmus+ Mobility for traineeships receives a grant according to the levels published each year in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide

_______________

By doing a traineeship abroad, you can:

  • improve your knowledge, skills, and competencies that employers are looking for.
  • develop entrepreneurial and creative skills highly valued by future employers.
  • improve foreign language skills and interpersonal and intercultural teamwork skills.
  • gain a deeper understanding of another country and culture

So, if you want to apply, you can do it through the international or Erasmus+ office of your higher education institution.

Now Andrea knows what to do. We wish her good luck with this application!
